This home is a re-interpretation of the Classic White Box of the 60's and 70's that was made popular by such famous architects/artists as Le Corbusier and Richard Meier. While honoring the architecture of the past, the home represents the priorities that are important to today’s lifestyle...attention to detail, leading edge technology, and indoor/outdoor living. The extensive use of indoor/outdoor living spaces expands the home’s living and entertaining square footage. These spaces flow one into another using walls of movable glass panels and retractable screens built into the lanai. Neutral colors, outdoor audio system and water feature create a relaxing atmosphere. The family room’s hidden media center is viewable from the lanai and the pool. Deemed an “urban-suburban” home, the residence dwells among single-family homes and condominiums. The western side of the home backs up to a three story condominium and alley. To create privacy, the home was designed in a “C” shape with a center courtyard. The family room’s long western wall was designed without windows to reduce noise and guarantee privacy. As a result, the “living room” doubles as a “gallery” to exhibit artwork. The room’s east wall features floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open to the courtyard and provide abundant natural light. Currently set-up for empty nesters with only two bedrooms; the workout room, office, and studio could be converted into additional bedrooms, if needed. Accessible by stairs or elevator, the second floor serves as a master retreat. The guest room is located on the main floor with an en-suite bath. The home earned the following “Green Certifications”: • USGBC LEED for Homes “Platinum” certification • National Green Building Standard “Emerald” certification • Florida Green Building Coalition “Platinum” certification • U.S. EPA Energy Star Qualified Home • U.S. EPA Indoor airPlus Qualified • Florida Yards and Neighborhoods Designation • Florida Water Star “Gold” Designation
