Entry Description

The entertainment law firm, Morris Yorn LLP, objective was to create a space that bridges the traditional law office with the look and feel of a high powered talent agency and at the same time encourages staff interaction by incorporating large shared spaces.

Located in Century City’s 2000 Avenue of the Stars building, the space includes executive and private associates’ offices, custom designed workstations, conference rooms, lounge areas, bar, game room and café. Felderman Keatinge created an open environment throughout, capturing the expansive views of the city by using continuous glass walls, allowing natural light to envelope the entire space.

The environment represents the client’s culture and provides their clientele a comfortable home away from home. It signals the innovative nature of the firm to prospective and existing clients, creating a bold and contemporary environment that blends technology with natural materials, and sustainability.

This entertainment law firm’s objective was to create an office with the look and feel of a high-powered talent agency—a space that would represent the practice’s evolving culture, and provide its movie-biz clientele with a comfortable home-away-from-home for relaxed meetings and discussions.

Blending natural materials with 21st-century technology, FKA created a bold,
contemporary environment that inspires employees and encourages communication between them.

FKA geared their design to reflect a balance between the public and private function,
facilitating both intimacy and interaction. A basic color palette of earth tones and white accents gives the interior a subdued, grounded atmosphere that’s at once uplifting and serene, and that acts as a perfect foil to the sweeping views through the windows.

With its heady mixture of the modern and the traditional, of formality and informality, the new office signals the innovative nature of the firm to visitors and staff alike.
