Project: To redesign Willamette University's alumni magazine to capture a stronger sense of place (Salem, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest), embrace its hand-on approach to learning and life, and engage a broader alumni audience. The redesign was a radical departure from its previous magazine called "The Scene," having more in-depth feature articles, rich and immersive photo essay spreads, and multiple entry points for viewers with varying amounts of time to invest.
The magazine was renamed "Willamette," clearly aligning the school's name with the alumni publication.
