BOOK OF LUXURY DESIGN is about good design in
architecture, interiors, industrial design, jewellery and
fashion containing several sections:

FROM THE INSIDE (furniture, lighting, ceramics, shops
offering interior design, interior design)
FROM THE STREET (real estate, property developers'
investments, architectural design offces, garden
furniture)
WHEN TRAVELLING (design hotels, spa)
FOR FUN (design for kids: furniture, clothes, toys)
AROUND TASTE (kitchen equipment: white goods,
porcelain, glass, cutlery, pots, design restaurants,
gourmet food)
FOR THE BODY (fashion brands, designers, boutiques,
fashion centres, underwear and lingerie, jewellery,
watches, perfume)
FOR THE SOUL (culture, art, galleries, works of art,
auction houses, artists)

It is addressed to professional designers as well as to
good design lovers and luxury goods consumers. The
layout was thought to respond to the high standards
of the reader on the same time being minimalistic
enough not to dominate the design presented in the
magazine. The result is a light and bright design with
classical typography, which stays in the second plan.
The usage of the photos is much more daring and
playful as it presents the design objects itself. As a
common touch all opening pages (for both the whole
magazine and the sections) have a light turquois
gradient panel going from colour to white. A 7mm
wide frame is used all over the layout to give it a
special touch.
The cover shows a peace of textile origami referring to
the 3-dimensional (and creative) potential of the paper
the cover is made of. Additionally soft touch foil on
the textile and glossy UV coating on the rest of the
space is underlining the structure of fabric.
The opening spreads of each category show objects of
fine design as symbols of the category (e.g. When
Travelling – presenting exquisite coat-stands) and
further an interview with designers who present their
favorite object which are good quality design.
