Entry Description: Slant Fine Jewelry's teardrop shaped Baroque Pearl and Diamond Cuff/Earring has a white natural pearl affixed to an oxidized sterling cuff with a white diamond and stud earring back. The piece is part of our Lozen Collection, which is named after the female Apache warrior, shaman, and leader. All pieces in the Lozen Collection are abstract representations of shields, teardrops, or bullets. The big challenge with designing this piece was getting the ergonomics right so that it would fit most ears, which we learned have vastly different shapes. Also, each baroque pearl is a different shape/size, so measurements and proportions must be tweaked for every piece made. Hand fabricated; imperfections are intentional. Natural baroque pearl. Oxidized and polished sterling silver. .05 ct white diamond Cuff/Earring is 1.5" long

About the Designer/Company
One of our customers recently said, "I feel like such a bad a** when I wear your jewelry!" At Slant Fine Jewelry we believe in challenging the status quo. We create unconventional, high-quality pieces that make the wearer feel powerful, beautiful, and extraordinary. We use recycled metals and other sustainable materials, and each piece is handmade by local craftsmen and craftswomen in Colorado. I didn't start out designing jewelry. My first passion was dance. I studied ballet at New York City Ballet's School of American Ballet and later modern dance with the renowned Merce Cunningham in New York and danced professionally for a few years. I taught for a while, then attended Parsons School of Design, also in New York, and practiced interior design for several years. While designing the interiors for a high-end jewelry store in Denver, I became more interested in designing what was inside the jewelry cabinets than designing the cabinets themselves! I signed up for a silversmithing class and have been designing jewelry ever since.
