Blind Idealism

This collection is a reflective representation of the world we are currently living in, where we do not know how or why terrorisms are happening. We rely on religion to convince us that the world is not as ugly as we perceive. In reality, we are slowly becoming blinded to the world we live in. It is, in many respects, an “invisible war”.
I used weapons as the silhouettes, such as gun and grenade to represent the contradictions when people use them to start a war and to defend themselves. I used mostly white leather in the collection to symbolize the light and hope in the darkness.

Andree is a New York based multidisciplinary designer. Andree’s artistic inspirations stem from her unique bilingual and multicultural upbringing. Her works always generate a sense of playfulness, related shapes from founding objects, creating whimsical and playful accessories that supplements the garments. She is currently working at coach during her stay in New York.
