The Napa Barn is sited on a small Northern California vineyard. The multi-use guest pavilion was designed to allow flexibility of use and function while also responding to the local agricultural architecture. Angled in a V-shape, the barn forms a tree-sheltered courtyard abutting an open meadow. A flow of indoor-outdoor spaces were created to take advantage of the mild climate with a large shaded opening to the south and smaller cross breeze windows to the north. Designed for fresh air and enjoying the outdoors, the house includes a central fireplace, slatted walls, large patios and openings.
