The SBB Learning and Discovery Train

A classroom on rails that tours through Switzerland. The Leanring and Discovery Train is the only educational programme of its kind in Switzerland. With the motto “Responsibility”, 18,000 pupils each year throughout Switzerland profit from this practical, interactive learning environment where they can find out about safety, sustainable energy use, mobility and career choices.

The Gotthard Base Tunnel is a star attraction on the learning and discovery train. A dedicated train compartment in its honour were set up, where participants can find out more about how it came into existence.

Holzer Kobler Architekturen was established in Zurich in 2004 by Prof. Barbara Holzer and Prof. Tristan Kobler. Today, the studio operates internationally out of Zurich, Berlin, Cologne and Nyon and covers a wide spectrum of competences including urban plann­ing and architecture, scenography and design. A multidisciplinary team made up of architects, designers, graphic artists and curators define its specific orientation in close collaboration with public and private sectors as well as a broad network that encompasses industry, sci­ence, art and culture.
