Entry Description

Elena and Ponyline bring together two Argentine passions- spectacular cuisine and Polo culture. This restaurant and bar combination showcases the glamour and sophistication of Buenos Aires with a contemporary point of view. Located at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires in the stylish Recoleta neighborhood, the restaurant and lounge celebrates the city of Buenos Aires and thePortenos who call it home.

An urban kitchen with Argentinean roots, Elenatakes inspiration from the emotional heart of thePorteno home. The courtyard-inspired dining room is centered on the live-fire cooking suite and charcuterie. Black iron railing recall local mansions and dramatic black and white stone flooring has all the energy of a Tango. Custom furnishings were inspired by the designers’ many forays into Buenos Aires famous markets.

The dramatic two level space is linked by a ‘secret’ pathway through the kitchen to Ponyline, a bar lounge that sparkles with hammered Alpaca metal.Intimate seating areas feature reclaimed wood walls and details inspired by polo pony stalls. Well-balanced combinations of leather, fabric and other riding-inspired accents add polish and pedigree to the interior. Sleek details play on the glamour of the iconic sport of kings, while classic materials reference a rugged, yet refined history defined by design and craftsmanship.

Contemporary interpretations of local cuisine and hand crafted drinks (plus the wines of Mendoza) are given pride of place with style, energy and a warm welcome. Elena and Ponyline capture the inward and outward spirit in a modern dialogue.
