Entry Description

This plan was begun in the winter 3 years ago, in the dense area of Tokyo's downtown Sumida ward. The area is made up of 3 to 5 story mid-to-high-rise buildings, and the light and wind conditions on the lower floors were desperate.

The designer client had rented an office near his house, but it was proposed that the office be put on one of the lower floors.
With this, because the planning is done on the upper floors of the residence, the implications of ensuring "daylight" and "ventilation" are strong.
Also, because of the surrounding living environment, space for children to run around freely was needed. The top floor of this house is set up as its garden, and because right angles do not occur in nature, we planned it as a curved space.
