The Mountain House is set on top of a hill besides an ecological reserve, profiting from an overwhelming view of the horizon. The project concept takes advantage of the surrounding nature, with fluid designs that allow the landscape to be seen from inside the house, making the view an integrating part of the interior. The project displays a mix of styles and textures, contrasting natural and technological materials on the furniture and coverings of walls and floors, combining a comforting atmosphere with a contemporary proposal. Wood has a strong presence throughout the spaces, offering warmth and coziness, and connecting to the identity of Brazilian traditional country houses. The furniture items were carefully selected to reflect the personal history of the occupants with their diversity and values. It includes classic, rustic, contemporary pieces made by Brazilian designers. The final layout and these individual pieces carry a sense of lightness and fluidity.
